![]() ![]() So what does this all mean for you? Hopefully, it means you know how to create an effective design now. Although Perfect Symmetry bases still work fine, they fail to account for the fleet bay which is why most high level bases now are Planned Symmetry bases instead. It is by creating a balance of risk for your opponent, that you can force them to ignore the fleet bay side, which realistically has less turret protection, and cause them to attack from your heavily fortified side. ![]() This will deter 90% of opponents and force them to the other side, which is heavily defended by turrets. By ensuring your opponent cannot come in directly straight of your fleet bay, there is always a high risk that drones will land on the destroyers, and they'll die. ![]() Most snipers will always avoid the fleet bay side, even if using creepers on decoys, if you place your fleet bay correctly. You can build a base that isn't perfectly symmetrical, and utilize the drones as a turret in order to create a powerful design this would be Planned Symmetry. ![]() They haven't been covered much, but fleet bay squadrons are a game changer in designing your base. Bad if you don't want to be 1-starred, but great if trying to prevent a 2 or 3-star.įleet Bays. When looking to the left of the base, the storages are rigged to explode with the vector causing your enemy to be unable to prep your base it is done minorly to the right as well. A good example of this is the Serpent Design on the Bridge 5 Designs. This can cause your opponent to accidentally 1star you in a prep, or be unable to launch a 2nd blitz attack, giving your base time to heal. Often, this is done through the use of unarmored miners, or storages, which are placed together or in a pattern that causes an explosion when a turret is destroyed. You have to watch where you are putting all your modules in order to prevent turrets or buildings from being destroyed without even being targeted, but what about turning it into a friend?Īlthough unplanned or unwanted collateral can be frustrating, a controlled collateral explosion can absolutely frustrate your enemy. Collateral Damage is often one of your greatest enemies when designing a base. ![]()
